Ron Morgenstern, CPL, Founder and President

Prior to creating Star Oil and Gas LLC, Ron was Vice President and/or Land Manager for four successful oil companies. He has over 30 years of experience in multiple states and in all phases of exploration, management, and asset building. He has worked basins in Colorado, California, Arkansas, Wyoming, Texas, Louisiana, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Oklahoma. He has worked in companies from large to small including Texaco, Shell, Bison, Synergy and Bill Barrett.

Andy McCarthy, Executive VP Geoscience

Prior to joining Star Oil & Gas LLC, Andy was Geology and Geophysics Manager for Laramie Energy for 12 years. He directed all exploration and development drilling programs centered in the Piceance Basin. He is a senior level geoscientist who is a proven “Oil Finder” with an extensive track record of successful exploration and development. He has over 45 years’ experience in several mid-size companies which operated in the Piceance, DJ, Williston, other US and Canadian Rockies basins, Michigan, California, Permian, and assorted Gulf Coast projects in various levels of technical and managerial positions from Senior US Division Geologist, to VP Exploration, and President of Stephens Energy. He established and managed several successful multi-disciplinary teams using solid leadership skills. He is a dynamic hard-working individual who is bottom line driven but is also aware of long-term wealth creation and is driven towards that goal. Dave Stone, VP – Operations Prior to joining Star Oil & Gas, Dave was President of LS Energy Corp for 13 years and President of Stone Exploration, Inc. for 21 years. Over the course of his career, Dave has worked primarily in the Anadarko and Arkoma Basins, and conducted operations in the San Joaquin, Sacramento and Powder River Basins. His experience spans most facets of the upstream petroleum industry, including petroleum geology, reservoir evaluation and exploitation, seismic data acquisition and interpretation, mineral leasing, permitting, drilling, completion, and production operations, gas marketing and project management. Dave received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering at Stanford University
